The benefits of using a Content Management System (CMS) to pull together the content of a magazine or an e-commerce site are obvious, though perhaps not at first glance. As content exceeds more than a handful of stories or items, the complexity of maintaining the site becomes very difficult to manage in a static (non-database) environments.
Pros of a CMS: - Authors can submit stories or content
- They can be placed where they need to be and QUICKLY edit them.
- Placement can be in many sections or categories without duplication.
- Anything can archived
- The look can be changed without altering the content through templates and Cascading Style Sheets.
